Review of Are You Being Served? The Movie (1977) by Jack Y — 29 Jul 2007

Funny for the first half-hour as it bears some (maybe too much) similarity to the hilarity of the TV series, but when the action shifts to Costa Plonka, it’s as though Croft and Lloyd went on holiday themselves.

Interesting to see Andrew Sachs managing the Spanish hotel than being abused at it, but very little to commend it. Better off watching three episodes back to back for more laughs (which would have been a better script idea).
