Whereas the first movie was cute, clever and sometimes silly, the sequel is trite, unoriginal, and (dare I say it?) stupid. How can these actors who nailed their roles so well in the first movie fail so abysmally with the same characters in this one? The kids' roles were greatly reduced and Nia Long (aside from the childbirth) was almost an afterthought. This was the Cube and McGinley show all the way, and they couldn't pull it off. No laughs, no cuteness, and the attempt to make us feel sympathy for McGinley was overplayed. Watch Are We There Yet? again instead of this. You'll thank yourself.
