Review of Arctic Tale (2007) by Aaron K — 05 Oct 2007
Great movie to indoctrinate tots into the green movement. And I mean that in a good way. Doesn't hold up much as a true documentary. If you look through the end credits, they cobbled together footage over the course of about ten years to get the story they wanted.
Not to say it doesn't have its basis in fact; they couldn't have gotten the footage they did if the filmmakers' thesis wasn't valid. But this is even more of a movie for kids than March of the Penguins, and clearly attempting to use that film's popularity to spread the word about global warming to younger viewers.
Preaching to the choir, mostly. Wait for the DVD, plop the kids down in front of it, and wait for them to start asking questions.
