Richard Gere in the kind of role he does best. The film works better as a character study than as a thriller though the tension is palpable and the script tight. Robert Miller is the kind of person who, back in 2008 was demonised for taking risks with money that have far reaching consequences for many lives, and although in this case Miller stands to lose more than anybody else due to a certain plot point Gere still imbues the character with enough sympathy to make us almost want to root for him.
