Review:

I found this movie to be quite slow and in some ways, quite boring. All of the actors put in good performances, but I am finding Richard Gere to be the same in all of his movies of late. The storyline could have done with some twists and surprises because its a basic thriller/drama, which we have seen many times before with loads of secrets and lies. It's a bit hard to feel sorry for the main character who has everything that a man can want, but he still ends up in trouble after making some bad choices. I must admit, I did lose interest in the film after a while. The director should have tried to make the movie more complex and at a faster pace. Average!

Round-Up:

A lot of Richard Gere movies have been the same recently and I am worried that he is a it stuck in a rut. He might start considering a whole genre change, because his films are depressing in one hand or political in another. The problem is that his movies still make money so why should he change. Once the studio is happy, there s no reason to rock the boat, so I can't see him doing a comedy or straight out action film soon. As for Tim Roth, who I thought was a weird but good choice for the detective, I thought that he player his part well but he just didn't get enough airtime.

Worldwide Gross: $32million.

I recommend this movie to people who like there drama/thrillers, about a man who is about to lose everything, after making some bad choices in life. 4/10.
