Gere dominates this making it more a character study than a thriller and while its not a financial crisis film in detail like Margin Call when the plot demands some finance stuff its as sure footed with it as everything else.
Everyone seems to have overlooked Tim Roth as the cop who is excellent as well. Of course in the end a triumph for a nice taut script and direction.
