Review of Arachnophobia (1990) by Lorne F — 06 Jan 2010

I first saw this at the cinema when I was about 8. I remember my mum phoning the theatre to ask if it was suitable for a child and I was so excited when she agreed to take me. Back then it terrified me.

I watched this again recently and my goodness, it's awful! Even though i'm not too keen on spiders, it's very un-scary and also very badly made. I was noticing all kinds of mistakes, it's incredibly flawed.

It gets a generous rating for comical value.
