Review of Aquamarine (2006) by Marco C — 06 Jan 2012
It's fluffy, but it's a bit of fun, too. Aquamarine is definitely a kids' movie, and it is edited like one. The dialogue reflects this as well. Two teenage girls try to help a mermaid through the logic of teen magazines.
Sure, it's not a very smart film, but it's pretty harmless. Emma Roberts was as adorable as she is now. JoJo is surprisingly good as a singer-turner-actor, and I liked Sara Paxton here, too. If you're a tween girl, you probably find some entertainment in this sweet fish tale.
