Choppy story telling and scene transitions. Musical score played during scenes in Atlantis along with the visuals felt like I was watching a mashup of Tron & The Little Mermaid. For the most part, it felt like Star Wars under water.
Jason Momoa did well playing Aquaman, and Amber Heards portrayal of Mera felt like it was Scarlett Johanssonâ(TM)s Black Widow character under cover in Atlantis.
The visuals were cool.
Like the rest of the movies DC has put out, there is a lot missing in the way of story telling and character development.
To sum up, the movie is Tron+Little Mermaid+Indiana Jones+Godzilla, but not as good as any of those movies.
I think itâ(TM)s amazing that DC has the Marvel movie franchise as an example of how to do superhero movies and DC still canâ(TM)t get it right.
A great movie is one you canâ(TM)t wait to see again, a bad movie is one that makes you mad you saw it. Aquaman is neither of those. Itâ(TM)s entertaining for the moment, but you really donâ(TM)t care if you ever see it again once itâ(TM)s over.
