Aquaman.
Its been a while after I saw this movie. I always lost a word each time I want to write a review for this movie. maybe bcoz the movie felt a bit too broad or maybe I just don't know where to start. but here I am... after a while... thinking about the movie itself.
Actually... the movie offer u a simple story. its a story about Arthur Curry, a man, half breed betwean an atlantean queen and a man, lighthouse keeper. Her Mom must leave him and his dad when he's still a young boy bcoz Atlantis seek her presence to perform her duty. Years later, he found out that his half brother, King Orm, is going to attack the surface world... Arthur must stop this upcoming war by dethrone King Orm.
The power of this movie lies betwean the fantastic world built of underwater kingdom, CGI feast, beautifull art and charismatic actors/actress.
The movie is a solid fun journey... but it has weakness too. Which is that this movie might not for everyone (who preferred a more narrow/focus story). The pace is quite fast and I think fit for these kind of movie. But the tonal shift betwean places might ditract some people for enjoying the movie.
Overall I enjoy this movie quite a bit. the adventure and fantasy feel from this movie is very solid. I hope James Wan stay to make at least another sequel.
