Review of Aquaman (2018) by Erich K — 24 Dec 2018
Aquaman is the latest DCEU film, and Im sad to say its just as bad as the rest. I went into this movie with mixed feelings. On the one hand people told me that it was a good film like the MCU ones, but on the other hand its a DCEU film so I went in hoping it wasnt like the rest but sadly it was.
Okay acting not bad but not good. The story was bland and really predictable which necessarily doesnt mean its a bad story, but this is DC one of the comic masters and the only story the witters could come up with was a bland story which you could predict from the beginning.
Characters were okay but a lot of them were badly written and portrayed. The dialogue was bad quite a lot of the time. The cinematography was okay but some times horrible to look at. The comedy is bad I didnt laugh once in the movie and a lot of it ruins the scenes.
The film also looks ugly. There are some scenes were it looks nice but most of it was horrible to look at, but one of the worst things about this movie was the CGI sometimes it looks quite good but most of the time it just looks sickening.
They try and do a talking under water effect but it fails so badly and just looks ugly and goofy. When they jump they just look stupid, and a lot of the fighting is just sickening to watch. Some of the fish characters also look really horrible when they move around.
There also a lot of things that dont make sense but Im not going to talk about them right now. Over all I give it a 4/10.
