Review of Aquaman (2018) by Kentomatoes T — 24 Dec 2018
While coming out slighty after the burst of the super hero genre, Aquaman does a good job at keeping unknowing audiences as well at comic book goers interested. Certain details like costumes and character attitudes are ripped straight off of the pages of his comics.
Amber Heard is a delight when delivering her "fish out of water" attitude when exploring the surface world the same way we enjoyed Wonder Womans insight into exploring London. Jason Momoa's Aquaman is more enjoyable than in prior Justice League and it makes me believer that its hard to see someome else in that classic gold and green.
The beginning and end naration werent really needed and felt like something outside of the genre. Ocean Master was a real pleasure and delivered the same feel as from other adaptations of this story. While some scenes were a flipper to the face, the fight scenes and coreography were some of the best in any superhero film.
I give this film two fins up.
