Review of Aquaman (2018) by Milhouse V — 26 Dec 2018
I was weary of Aquaman. As a superhero, he was very "Meh." for me, and when I saw the movie trailers, I wasn't really convinced otherwise. However, as a fan of the DC Universe, I REALLY REALLY want to see it succeed.
Wonder Woman was a home-run. Suicide Squad was a huge disappointment, I didn't hate BVS or Justice League but after seeing Aquaman and Wonder Woman, it exposes what missed opportunities the previous films really were.
Aquaman was freaking INCREDIBLE!! Visually beautiful, Epic action, and a solid core of heart in the middle. It was like someone flooded the set of Lord of the Rings--it was THAT level of epic! Superman and Batman have been pushed aside, Aquaman and Wonder Woman are the new King and Queen of the DCU!
