I realize everyone has their own taste but man...for me it felt like I was watching a 2.5 hr long cologne commercial and it was never gonna end. So... many... slow-motion... shots.... not of a cool action sequence but of Aquaman or Mera posing and mugging for the camera, often with this comically overwrought guitar flourish underneath.
Imagine the asshole redhead guy from CSI with the sunglasses (say something witty, put on shades, cue guitar from âWho Are Youâ?) only XXL and way worse at acting. The main villain sounded like heâ(TM)d be more comfortable doing opera.
The male/female leads have all the chemistry and acting talent of dirt. It was just all over the top bad and painful to watch. I admit some of the visual effects were pretty cool but Marvel has spoiled me, I want characters and a story that I care about, not this bunch of posers.
