Review of Apt Pupil (1998) by Corey N — 28 May 2009
This is a film that I thought I would not like going into it. But after watching it I thought Bryan Singer did a great job with the story and characters, Basically a young boy finds out a neighbour is a Nazi war criminal.
He blackmails him and things then start to get strange since the boy is making do things and tell him things about his past. Which in turn causes problems for the boy and the ex-Nazi. Ian McKellen and Brad Renfro both give good performances.
Plus the film has a good supporting cast. This is a interesting thriller. Worth a watch.
