Review of Apt Pupil (1998) by Paul B — 24 Dec 2009
I have been wanting to see this movie for YEARS! I don't think there's anything more scary in history than Nazi's. There's nothing too amazing going on but you do get a sense of some serious evil and Ian McKellen is perfect.
I had some issues with the kid, Brad Renfro, though. He starts off sharp as a razor, blackmailing to get hsi way, but then ends up standing around with his mouth open the last 1/2 of the movie. In the end he finally snaps out of his brain freeze and has a nice, warm, scene with Friend-idiot David Schwimmer.
I recommend seeing this is you like psychological horror.
