Review of Apt Pupil (1998) by Amanda Ø — 30 Jun 2011
Apt Pupil, based from the Stephen King novella is about a boy who discovers a Nazi war criminal and makes him tell him about the things he did in the war in detail - while they grow an absurd relationship and distrust of each other.
This is an indefinitely mind bending film. It's quite interesting, and yet very weird. I found that the story was really intriguing, and odd too. The characters were great and the acting was also - good.
It is definitely one movie that I found rather psychologically thrilling, and amusing. Nonetheless I was entertained basically all the way through. I thought it was quite well made, but the movie itself skipped corners in a way being rough around the edges, and honestly had some very, very coincidental occurrences.
Otherwise I quite enjoyed it.
