Review of April Fool's Day (1986) by Carl N — 10 Mar 2009
April fools Day is similar to many of the teen horror/slasher movies of the 1980s.but this isnt your typical homicidal manic with a big knife kills everybody film. This is a real Agatha Christie-type mystery who done it? That has a massive twist at its ending.
The film is filled with quirky humour. Its amazingly very well acted and the bodies donât start piling up till the second half off the film. So you get to know the characters well, which make you care a little more when they go missing.
Amy Steel of Friday the 13th 2 fame is fantastic in the lead role. And the other stand out performance is byDeborah Goodrich as Nikki. Who manages to portrayal being Promiscuous without resorting to getting naked in every scene.
A slasher film that would be enjoyed by hardcore slasher fans or casual viewers.
