Review of April Fool's Day (1986) by Kevin R — 01 Dec 2010
I fuck on the first date.
A group of high school friends head to a family house on an island on April Fool's Day. Shortly after arriving on the island the friends begin dying. Can the friends band together to stay alive and rally behind the owner of the house and who is responsible for their deaths? Could it be one of them?
"Before this night is over someone in this room will...pull their wang.".
Fred Walton, director of Trapped, Dead Air, The Courtyard, The Stepford Husbands, and I Saw What You Did, delivers April Fool's Day. The storyline for this picture is unique to the horror genre and contains a triumphant conclusion. The action scenes and acting are classic 80s horror genre. The cast includes Clayton Rohner, Leah Pinsent, Ken Olandt, Thomas Wilson, and Deborah Foreman.
"I'm on a mission to bed as many women as humanly possible.".
April Fool's Day was a film my wife DVR'd and remembered from the 80s. I don't think I had ever seen this movie and found it cleverer than I anticipated. The end of this movie is brilliant and a breath of fresh air in the horror genre. I strongly recommend seeing this film if you are a fan of the horror genre. This is worth having in your DVD collection.
"Your fly is open and your Twinkie is hanging out.".
