Review of Appleseed: Ex Machina (2007) by James D — 20 Mar 2008
An eye poppingly beautiful film that could offer something for those who enjoyed Beowulf, but still a bit flat with the characters and situations that happen. The action is fast and furious, with some momentary John Woo tributes (flying doves, Gun Fu, dual weilding of guns - he only produced the film, he did not direct it).
It's a decent follow up to the first, but feels like it's not quite as good as the first.
