Review of Appleseed: Ex Machina (2007) by Mirai S — 03 Jul 2009
Released within months of the much overhyped and overrated Final Fantasy: Advent Children, Ex Machina is a better story with better characters in a better world with, dare I say, better visuals and animation.
The action is flashy, but not overdone, and the characters are handled well. Not too many movies can make you care about a cyborg soldier with a robot bunny head.
