I've never been what you might call a "wild western" fan. Not that I dislike the genre, it's just that since the 90's, when I began watching movies, there hasn't been much of a popularity in the type.

I've seen a couple of Eastwood's and bits of pieces of others. In my opinion, Appaloosa is exactly what a western should be. A genuine 19th century western feel, a love story, a brother-like friendship, and a bunch of rowdy bad guys all add up to a great movie that I would recommend to anybody who wants a movie that is entertaining and gives one an appreciation for the "simple" life.
