Review of Apollo 13 (1995) by Jayakrishnan R — 05 Sep 2014
Pure suspense, and the most realistic space flight movie in existence, particularly because they filmed in zero gravity environments for several shots. While some drama was obviously injected for cinematic purposes, it never diverted from the facts of the mission itself. This movie shows some of the finest work NASA has ever done. It's incredible the kind of things they were able to do with so little resources, and really shows how powerful and important science can really be. Fantastic performances and near perfect visuals, even to this day, nearly 20 years later. Simply one of the best space movies ever created, and probably the best "true story" movie I've ever seen.
98%.
