Clearly, Mel Gibson could not care less about historical accuracy in his movies, instead (smartly, in my opinion) focusing on making entertaining stories that yield truly visceral experiences. 'Apocalypto' is no exception, and it is a true crowd-pleaser in every sense of the word.
