Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Logan T — 02 Jul 2012
To watch a film as powerful and well-done as this is extremely rare. It takes us to such raw, gritty, and disturbingly realistic places that no other movie in cinema's history has even dared enter.
I've seen the picture three times now, and each time I find more ways to be moved by it. The ending alone was one of the most hauntingly well-made things I've experienced in a film. "Apocalypse Now" is without a doubt one of my favorite movies, and is also Francis Ford Coppola's greatest directorial achievement of his entire career.
