Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Brett W — 28 May 2013
It is really good, but the troubled production really shows on and somewhat off camera in the jumbled narrative mess. Sheen and Brando are stellar as always. The photography is thick with mood and a few well-timed pyrotechnics make this a genuine war "masterpiece".
Not my favorite, but a must-see definitely.
