Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Sean W — 22 Jul 2014
Excellent in every way, the pacing, the acting, and the camerawork specifically. The atmosphere these combine to create are essential to what the movie is trying to communicate and it translates well in this movie.
It's based on Heart of Darkness for those who have read it and besides the change in setting it stays faithful to the basic purpose of the book. Make sure you watch the original version though, the redux adds long scenes that take away from the experience in my opinion.
