It's appropriate that they start the movie with The End by The Doors. Watching the whole movie from beginning to end is like listening to a Doors album. Go listen to The Soft Parade then An American Prayer and your head might go to the same places that this movie takes you.
It's a trip. What really makes this stand out from other war films is the mystery of Kurtz being carried through the film, and when we reach the man of mystery himself he doesn't disappoint.
