Apocalypse Now! is a very difficult film to review. Its not a happy story. It's not a fun story. All in all, its not even a film I'd like to watch again. Does that make it a bad movie? Absolutely not.
In fact, due to its beautiful visuals, stunning acting performances, and dedication to telling its story, by being offputting, it's actually succeeding in a way few other films can. It's not even so much a film as it is an experience.
