Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Aleks S — 29 Sep 2015
Apocalypse Now is a mesmerizing and riveting war film. But is it a war film? Coppola's direction and the film's cinematography displays a consistent tone of the loss of one's mind and soul.
While some characters venture further into the evils of the war, others are completely desensitized to its horrors. This is truly how a war movie should be made: exploration of the individual's inner conflicts.
