Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Davec. — 23 Sep 2005
It's never quite the film it wants to be. It's more than just the river in this film that is full of meanders and the final 40 minutes of the film is no help what so ever. Still, there are some mesmerising sequences, not least of those being the air attack to the soundtrack of "Ride of the Valkyries".
The photography is also gorgeous.
