Like Pather Panchali,this is one of the best films I ve seen.Human bonding and loneliness are 2 of the many things dwelt upon in this movie.I am beginning to realize why Satyajit Ray is known as one of the best directors ever to grace the earth.
The scene where young Appu( whose forced to work as a priest due to poverty)watching the other kids play when he was returning from work,is very moving.
