You have to love Susan Sarandon as the trashy, neurotic sad and crazy mother, desperately afraid of losing the only good thing she has, her daughter.
This movie is surprisingly brilliant. It is really quite an unforgettable movie. Even though it's a character-driven movie with little action and no special effects I've seen it about 6 times and I can't get enough of it.
