Review of Anything Goes (1956) by Steve S — 29 Aug 2015
This is a Donald O'Connor film start to finish. He steals the show here from Bing Crosby just as he does from Gene Kelly over in Singin' In The Rain. I'm surprised that they went with Jeanmaire, rather than someone like Cyd Charise.
Bing's chemistry here with O'Connor is just as smooth as over in White Christmas with Danny Kaye. The formula is pretty similar. Hijinks ensue.
