Review of Anything Else (2003) by Ld P — 24 May 2009
I did not see this on the big screen in 2003 but only at home Dec 2008. I have been trying to catch up on all the Woody Allen movies I missed at the theater. This is an excellent movie and one of his best in many years.
He has some new younger actors playing the the usual therapy angst romantic triangle plot. witty dialogue great NYC scenery. great philosophy ideas and conversation funny plot. Biggs and Rici are fantastic and so is Mr Allen's typical role.
Woody Allen is the USA's greatest living film legend. He has written and directed 40 movies. I cant believe more people don't celebrate his creations. The fast dialogue and intellects of his movie are so that to really get a Woody Allen movie you really have to pay attention and listen!! His movies are not something you can play in the background at home and get any idea of what the movie was about.
So it takes a little bit of dedication to make his movies work for you!! Take the time watch enjoy study!! highest recommendation five stars a really brilliant movie!1.
