Review of Anything Else (2003) by Skyler R — 06 Oct 2007
Jason Biggs is no Woody Allen, and he only seems comfortable in this film when he stops trying to copy him. Christina Ricci, on the other hand, is good enough to make you understand why the main character loves her despite her neuroses and annoying habits. The funniest bits involve Allen himself, playing his usual character but with a few surprising traits. The movie would have felt more anchored if his story wasn't just tacked-on.
Overall, a watchable movie but not a memorable one.
