Review of Any Given Sunday (1999) by Heinz H — 09 Feb 2009

It's rather entertaining, but I find it obvious that the makers of the movie don't know football very well, which is very annoying to me. The coach liberally using timeouts in the fourth quarter just to ask his quarterback if he's okay, the Knights' god awful crazy looking uniforms and the middle 20 yards of their field being completely covered in paint as to hide the midfield and 45 yard lines, and the "eye injury" was absolutely absurd. The ending wouldn't really fly in the NFL either.

There's an all star cast though with some really great performances. I only wish there could have been more James Woods.
