Review of Any Given Sunday (1999) by Danielle K — 02 Sep 2008
This is a fine sports movie with a cast that is stacked. Though it gets convoluted and downright strange at times, the themes and messages are important, especially for today's world of sports. Al Pacino is on his game, but the real life players, Jim Brown and Lawrence Taylor, give outstanding performances.
If Oliver Stone could make more movies like this, I wouldn't hate him so much.
