Oliver Stone's behind the scenes look at the world of American Football is good in parts. Problem is Stone tries to mix up the standard sports movie with a darker look at the game, and that proves to be the movie's undoing.

It does not have the hard hitting look at the darker side like Raging Bull, nor does it have the feel good inspirational spirit of Rocky.End of the movie, you really don't emphathize for the players or the coach, at the same time, the movie just takes a half baked look at the issues plaguing the sport, skimming over each,not covering them.

Still can be watched for some good performances by Al Pacino, Jamie Foxx, Dennis Quaid and Cameron Diaz.
