What an interesting story. I am a huge metal fan and am completely unfamiliar with this band. Anthrax, Metallica, Guns N Roses, and Slayer all mention Anvil as a huge influence but they never made it big.
Their style was ripped off and they were left for dead. 25 years later the lead singer Lips is still recording music. He has tried so hard to make Anvil make it big but just keeps failing. After a failed tour and album in 2006 he is still just as passionate about being a rockstar.
The movie has some very sad points because with all the talent and dedication in the world the band still hasn't made it. Great documentary for fans of all music.
