Review of Anvil! The Story of Anvil (2008) by David R — 06 Oct 2009
This is basically a real life "spinal tap" with heart, or a metal version of "concords". The film follows a hopeless but well meant band tour around the world, while met with adversity or in some cases nothing at all.
Its touching, sweet, and its end well for the band, proving that some good can come from there "dream" even if it was a nightmare getting there.
You don't need a interest in metal, or necessarily in music, you just need to emphasise with what happens when everything goes wrong, and what's funny about it.
