The film works in that you do want these guys to succeed. Robb and Lips seem like good guys that are just trying to do what they love and can't seem to get a break. I'm sure we're not being shown the whole story and that opens a discussion about documentaries and their bias, but I'll rate this film on what I saw.
It was powerful at times when Robb and Lips opened up to either each other or the camera. However, I can't say I felt the drive that they kept saying they had. It seemed more like they enjoyed playing music and if they happened to get successful well that'd be great to.
I will admit the track "Metal On Metal" is pretty catchy.
