Anvil may not have received the same recognition as the Big Four in Thrash or other heavy metal artists during their younger years, but this documentary shows how they never failed to hold on to the dream of making it big.
Like 'The Wrestler' you get a glimpse into a world where the stakes are often pretty high, and no reward is guaranteed. The documentary does have plenty of endearing moments of heartbreak, perseverance, comedy, and above all, passion.
While 'This is Spinal Tap' was a satire, these guys actually lived it, and still they continue on.
