Review of Anvil! The Story of Anvil (2008) by J K — 04 May 2010
Few times has my heart been touched in such a way by a documentary because unlike most documentaries it speaks about something very real and close to my heart.
Indeed my heart has been shaken by documentary master pieces like Marsh's Man on Wire or Moore's Bowling for Columbine but Gervasi's Incredible Moving take on the lives of two men who just won't give up their dream mirrors my very own life.
When I look into the eyes of this 50 year old musicians I see the very same hope and strength many other far more succesful artist lack.
This a documentary no only for headbangers or kids with artistic dreams, this a documentary for anyone who admires human spirit, for every single one of us who by watching this films realizes than although giving up maybe an option, fighting for what you want is always worth it, even if it takes 10, 30, 50 or 100 years.
