Review of Antz (1998) by Jacob A — 11 Aug 2012
I remember this movie having so much controversy among classmates when this came out. It was due to some of the adult content we kids picked up quickly. Other than that, It's amazing how this actually pulls out a pretty smart story about an ant seeking individualism and how that conflicts how the rest of the ants naturally live.
The voice pick of Woody Allen as Z can't be any better, I actually saw Z more than I saw Woody allen behind the mic. I was astonished by the other celebrity voices in here, Christopher Walken?! Slyvester Stallone?! Jennifer Lopez?! Wow.
..I've watched this alot but I never noticed these voices? Not as bright and colorful as a Bugs life, but there is a sort of monotone the plot has, the comedy is there, some of the wise cracks Woody throws are pretty funny.
