Dereke Luke performs a beautiful performance from start to finish. I was nervous as to see how Denzel Washington's directing skills played out.. but really he did pretty darn good. The cinematography was excellent as well.

But in parts the movie lagged... Maybe it was the Hollywood-ness of it.. But it just seemed like emotion was cut short in some parts.
