Review of Antiviral (2012) by Andy G — 10 Sep 2013
As my roommate said "Fluorescent lights, blood, and freckles are all you're missing from this well intentioned film.".
Visuals: This film is full of pretty pictures that most of the time evoke nothing. Deep contrast and simplicity can only go so far.
6.75/10.
Acting: The acting is not bad here, but we see only a whole group of one dimensional characters, and that isn't the actors fault.
7/10.
Story: Cool concept, poor story and characters. You don't care about the protagonist, you get sick of him stumbling around and drooling. Wish Cronenberg had done something else with this idea.
3/10.
Concept: Excellent futuristic world, reflecting our own. But the themes and values are too stagnant to produce any deep thought.
6/10.
Personal: Nope, uh uh.
1/10.
Re-Watchability: Not if I can chose not too watch again.
1/10.
