Review of Antitrust (2001) by X. T — 25 Oct 2006
I feel like I'm getting hit over the head with the plot. The story is so predictible. The cliches are abound. This sequence basically sums up the awfulness of this movie: Milo's friend tells him that his best friend who was murdered the night before told him that "It's not in the box, It's in the band".
After that Milo sees the scene of crime which was disguised as a racial crime. Soon after that, we see the CEO of the company tell Milo that they discovered: "It's not in the box, it's in the band".
Suddenly we see the camera goes into hypermotion on Milo's face as he is shocked by what he just heard. The over-the-topness is so absurd that I laughed. If I only saw that sequence in a trailer I would have thought it was a comedy or a parody of thrillers.
