Review of Anthropoid (2016) by Jordan R — 16 Aug 2016
It has some pretty intense scenes, but the overall feel of the movie is one of dullness. You would expect that a movie about an assassination plot would have a sense of urgency, but this one did not. It has a few brief moments of tension early on, but most of it is saved for the final half hour.
Not the worst WWII resistance themed movie I have scene, but far from the best. In a tried and true genre like this, to impress an audience you have to try something different to aviod seeming boring.
