Review of Anthropoid (2016) by Gareth W — 08 Sep 2016
A great review of a great movie. Perhaps the best war movie I have ever seen? Manages to combine truth with drama, bravery with questions, morality with evil, courage with cowardice, malice with love and tells a story I am ashamed, despite being a ww2 buff, to know little about.
No trip to Prague will ever be the same. Nor will the memory fail to linger on the last stand in the heroic Church of the doomed Czech Paratroopers. A fitting reposte to the unspeakable and unrelenting tide of Nazi evil their defiance has exposed.
